BBC ALBA, the new Gaelic television channel today (Wednesday) announced that it has enjoyed “hugely encouraging” support from across Scotland in its first month of broadcasting.

National Indigenous TV (NITV), a 24 hour, Indigenous television service, will launch in Australia’s largest free-to-air television market on Monday 27 October 2008.

The fifth Pacific International Documentary Film Festival of Tahiti (FIFO Tahiti) will take place at the ‘Maison de la Culture' (Te Fare Tauhiti Nui) in Papeete, the capital of French Polynesia from 27 January to 1 February 2009. An international Jury will award the Jury Grand Prize and three special prizes. There will also be an Audience Prize. During the Festival, there will be opportunities for professionals to meet, talk and develop projects together.
